The Malayan tiger is a critically endangered subspecies and was put on the IUCN Red List in 2015. The WWF estimates that there are <200 in the wild today.
Some can be found with pattern on their foreheads that resemble the Chinese character “King”.
The biggest threat is habitat loss and poaching.

The Malayan tiger is one of the smaller sub-species with females weighing approx. 200 lbs. and males 285 lbs.
